Today Ya.Muzyka began to eat in chrome from 1.5 to 4 GB of RAM. What could be causing this and how to fix it?
When I even just open tabs like " https://music.yandex.ru/artist/xyz/tracks " the amount of memory consumed increases sharply. Nowhere else in other places does such anomalous consumption occur, just as it did not actually occur through these links a week ago.
I have not tried to fix it in any way, and I have no idea where to start. I would like to joke about the miner on Yandex, but it is the RAM and a little processor that are heating up, and the video card is almost asleep.
Upd: I wrote to Yandex support, but they only sent an unsubscribe that they know about the problem and will fix it soon)). So, apparently, the normal solution is to ignore Yandex.music for a month or a year (they will just fix it or make it even worse) and switch to spotify, as the person below advised.
Upd 21.08: now i.music in chrome again consumes only 150 mb, so the issue is resolved by yandex itself in the latest update.

I wrote to support about this, they said they will try to fix it in the next. update.
ps We download the application from the Windows store and everything is fine. As they said about memory from above, now it consumes 165 MB.
Yandex music is buggy. They also slow down the playlist scrolling, and when I contacted support a year ago, they told me that they knew about the problem, but they didn’t fix it in a year. I also suggested that they remove bright light ads in a dark theme, and they replied that it should be like this and you get a dark background and Ovechkin's face on a white background on the floor of the screen XD
I advise you to switch to spotify and not suffer.
Yandex music also has intrusive advertising. Every 5-6 tracks include a video about how cool it is to get a loan from a savings bank. Spotify advertising is an order of magnitude less frequent and the application for Windows is convenient.
I'm afraid to install applications from Yandex on Windows. there is always some sort of malware creeping into the bargain like a browser or Alice.
Spotify app consumes 150MB-200MB. In the spotify application, the main thing is to uncheck "Set one volume for all tracks" - then the compressor will turn off and the volume will be the same as everywhere else.
