Through the microphone output, the headphones work quietly, what should I do?

I dropped my laptop, fell right on the connected headphone jack, because of which the left channel in the headphones stopped working. Changed the audio output to the microphone jack. Everything works as it should. The problem is that headphones work twice as quiet through this output. I wish it was a little louder. Through the normal output, the right earpiece works twice as loudly as both on this output.
Can this be fixed? Or is it just a weak plug and it is impossible to make it louder?
I tried to make it louder as standard through Properties: Speakers.
SoundBooster doesn't help...
