ThinkPad t410: reinstall windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit?

I recently purchased a ThinkPad T410 laptop. The pre-installed Windows on it is 32 bit. I want to switch to 64-bit. How can this be done? I read that when reinstalling Windows, you just need to mark the 64-bit version. I have a whole partition on my hard drive in my laptop called Lenovo_Recovery, which, when clicked, offers to make Recovery Media. If you do this, then, as I think, you will get a 7-ki installation disk with all sorts of Lenovo goodies. And when installing from this disk, you can choose the 64-bit version. Am I guessing correctly?

I read that when reinstalling Windows, you just need to mark the 64-bit version.

Where did you read this? As far as I know, even BOX versions of Windows 7, which provide for the delivery of both 32-bit and 64-bit distributions in one box, have two disks in the box itself - 32 and 64 bits, respectively.

No, it's wrong. The peculiarity of OEM versions is that you have the right to use with a laptop only the OS that the manufacturer put there and licensed to you. If the laptop has a 32-bit OS, then you have licensed it. A serial from a 32-bit OEM may not be suitable for the same, but 64-bit. This means that a separate license will have to be obtained for the 64-bit one.
Accordingly, the 32-bit version of Windows lies on the recovery partition on the hard drive. And when installing, you will not be given any choice. The 32-bit version will be installed with all the Lenovo goodies.

I think it's worth calling Lenovo TP and asking about the possibility of providing a 64bit Windows disk. Perhaps they will send it, you may have to pay for the carrier, but there is a chance.

On such partitions, there are usually backups of already installed systems (that is, the same 32 bits). But in any case, you can start the recovery process and, before it leads to irreversible "restorations", check to see if you can choose x64.

Most likely only by hand. The recovery partition is usually just an image of the system partition. If you're lucky, the key will work for 64-bit.
