Thin client for windows server 2008?
The task was set to organize 10 workplaces in the form of thin clients. Will be connected to Windows 2008 server stardart. Need mandatory support / stable work with printers, USB devices.
Interested - is it worth looking towards Linux or just Windows CE?

PXE boot I'm
currently using a similar solution for >100 computers.
Everyone is happy, both admins and users.
USB support is complete.
First, why CE? Will they be on mobile? And if not, why is Remote Desktop bad?
At one time I tested Wyse TK (on ThinOS, CE and Embedded 2009), all models are quite worthy and work well with network printing / usb devices (you can ask some resellers to test for a week or two). I don’t recommend Windows CE - it’s already old, it’s better to look at more progressive ones - Windows Embedded 7 or Windows Embedded 2009, Wyse also has Suse-based Linux and self-written ThinOS. If it is not required to drive the shopping mall into the domain for organizing SSO, then in principle any OS will do.
You can also look towards HP with their ThinPro OS - it’s very good in terms of settings and capabilities.
