There is a diagram of a transistor drive mechanism for clocks. How to determine the values of the elements in the circuit?

A friend asked me to help with the following task www.ra3tox.bget.ru/Sam/time.htm to be done by a child for school. The question is how to determine the necessary ratings of the diode, transistor, coils. How to choose power - 1.5V, 3V, 5V, 9V, 12V? How will the size / power of the magnet depend?

Transistor and diode - based on voltage.
The transistor should also open, in theory, with the current that will be induced by the magnet in the coil (although I could make a mistake in the circuit) - you can directly measure this current in combat conditions.
Coil ratings - painted on the diagram.
Power for such coils is enough 1.5 volts. Well, 3 max.
