maybe one of the sfp+ network cards can also support sfp (not sfp+)? here is based on Emulex 10GbE Integrated VFA.
there are two sfp+ ports, will sfp modules work (not to be confused with sfp+)?

According to the datasheet (if I understand your model correctly), this card can only work in 10GE (802.3ae) mode. There are no SFP modules operating in 10GE mode, they are only available for 1GE.
In addition, there is a description of this product and a list of supported (read recommended) modules.
