The video is re-encoded for a very long time, what could be the matter?

The computer is not mine. 2 GB RAM, Radeon HD 5600, Core i3. Almost like my own iron, in general. When encoding movies to my phone via XViD4PSP, my average speed is 70 points. He has 10-15. The computer does not slow down in other tasks, modern games work fine. Moreover, sometimes the speed rises to 40, but then it still falls back. I checked the processes running, there is nothing special there. Worth the antivirus. OS Windows 7.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

on the same film different speed? the speed may be different due to other settings or a larger picture. but in general, try avidemux, it is also available for Windows

During encoding, launch the task manager and look in the processes tab which one gives the most CPU load (do not forget to enable the display of processes for all users). It often happens that different versions of codecs load the processor differently. In this case, installing the same version of the codec that is on your PC will help.

try to raise the priority of the process in the manager... if there is a noticeable increase, then the processor / video sags on some task, look further.

Could it be a storage issue?

Check how other decoders work. Probably lousy settings.
