Guys, such a problem, it was necessary to check the neighbor’s video card and after making sure that it was working, put it back. And after these actions, when the operating system was loaded, the monitor began to turn off, they say there is no signal from the video card. That is, at first the BIOS is loaded, there is access to grub , but then it turns off. The same is true with different operating systems live, I tried both Ubuntu and Windows - the result is the same. At the same time, the video card works stably on another computer. I tried to change the power supply, it didn’t help. ASUS P5K SE motherboard and geforce 8600gts graphics card

Are you sure the PCi-E port is OK? It is logical to assume that if your and his card is working and it's not in the PSU, then the problem is clearly in the motherboard.
