The system is running in low-graphics mode. And only the console is launched. What to do?

In general, a mistake. When starting Ubuntu, only the console starts up and does not go further.

For those who may still encounter this error. In my case, the console displayed just a black screen by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F1. After a bunch of attempts with entering nouveau.modeset=0 or nomodeset in grub2 configs, changing greeter-session in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf, trying to update via mounting the console in livecd, stupidly deleting xorg.conf in /etc/X11 helped me. And the most important thing is to remove all xorg.conf, i.e. in my case, there was only xorg.conf.failsaveX and its removal immediately led to normal system boot and the ability to install the video card driver normally
