The starting path in it. How to be?

Hello everyone.
Not so long ago I decided to try myself in the IT field. I was very interested in Data science and various data analysis. I took a couple of courses on Python and SQL, and faced the problem of the lack of need for this specificity in my city. I decided to learn php, git (with these tools you can at least find something in our city) in order to at least just get a job in some kind of it office to feel what it means to work in a team, what it generally means to work in the field of it. I decided to follow the following plan: get a job in any company, work, gain experience, and at the same time learn and look for a job according to the specifics I need. Or if you like to work in a position that I get a job, just improve myself in this direction.
Q: Do you think it's a good plan? Maybe I missed something, you want to add something. Thank you all in advance!

I don’t just think, I know for sure that newcomers from the street do not come to data science, this is a direction for already professional programmers with excellent mathematical background. The task of a beginner at the beginning of a career path is to gain basic knowledge and the broadest possible horizons in IT, get a job in any job they take, grow to the middle, in the process try everything that their hands can reach, and then choose an interesting specialization for themselves.

Do you have a university degree in applied mathematics or any other similar field? I'm sorry, what? Not? We will call you back.

Everyone has their own path and you know better what to do next, you should not care about the opinion of others.
