The Simple 301 Redirects plugin does not work with https. How to set up a redirect?

Moved the site to another domain. Site on https. I decided to make redirects using the Simple 301 Redirects plugin. If the request is made to http, then the redirect works without problems. But the request with https is no longer there.
In general, I need to somehow solve the problem of setting up a 301 redirect so that in Yandex all pages with old c https addresses lead where I need to. And the redirects worked fine. Why in this plugin http to https normally flips, but https to https does not.

Kind. Have you tried to redirect from the old domain to the new one
using .htaccess ?
Just in case, a link to the issue with other examples.
