The purchased new battery is not identified by the laptop, what should I do?

I bought a new battery for a DELL inspirion 1210 mini laptop. differs from the installed capacity only - it was 2400 mva, the new one has 4000 mva. When you turn on the PC, the inscription "the battery is not identified." What is the reason and can it be fixed?
