Selection of long-lasting laptops
I work at a research institute engaged in scientific instrumentation, it is often required to conduct field tests, now it is necessary to buy laptops for this in the laboratory, the main criterion is long battery life and Windows 8 on board (according to the contract they must write for this OS), well, it is desirable to weigh less , what do you advise?
You need 4 pieces:
- 2 at a price of up to 20 thousand rubles
- 1 up to 50
- 1 up to 60
Thank you all in advance for your answers

If you don’t need power at all, you can take a netbook, for example, an Asus Eee PC on an atom + a 9-cell battery for it (it’s better to first find which netbooks have such batteries on nb-power.ru). I have an Asus 1005P with such a battery, it works 10-12 hours.
If you need more powerful devices (I will consider this case), you need to choose laptops on the third generation Intel Core (three at the beginning of the model - important!).
Considering that the tests are field tests (you will have to carry them with you), it’s really better to take something lighter - an ultrabook, a tablet or a small laptop.
The video built into the processor is quite enough (even for GTA IV, tested)
In the role of an SSD drive for field conditions, it is better suited - it tolerates shaking and bumps.
And, of course, so that there are no problems with the license, you can find a device with a pre-installed eight.
And now, what is more suitable on the Yandex market:
about 50k
Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13
about 60k
DELL XPS 14 Ultrabook (or DELL XPS 13 Ultrabook)
about 20k
DELL INSPIRON 5423
Inexpensive
Samsung NC110 netbook (alas, with seven on board) I
suspect it this battery is suitable for 9 cells

More questions? :)
Asus zenbook ux31a works for about 7 hours.
The truth depends strongly on the load, and has risen in price for 1000ue.
Perhaps ux32a is similar in autonomy.
I once took Samsung NC215S
to work in nature . I was afraid that 1024x600 would be small, but it turned out to be quite normal. The main pluses for me were a long time and (!!!) a matte screen. The manufacturer claims an autonomous operating time of up to 14 hours, but I haven’t used it for more than 10 hours, so I really don’t know how much.
By default, there is 7, but in theory, 8 should also start. I took it in Samara for 13 krub, so I think that this is a worthy candidate according to paragraph 1.
