The monitors have two HDMI inputs and have an "Auto HDMI Switching" function, how does this function work?

Please tell us how, if you connect a laptop and a TV set-top box to the same monitor at the same time, this function will work. For example, if you simply turn off the set-top box with the remote, NOT physically pulling out the wire from the monitor leading to the set-top box, will the monitor itself switch to the laptop, or is it necessary to pull out one of the wires in order to switch to another HDMI?

Usually the first input is checked. If there is no signal, then the monitor switches to the second one.
