The maximum amount of memory for the motherboard and the number of dice?

I wanted to put the maximum amount of memory in my mother. I looked at the instructions, where it is written, the maximum volume is 16 GB. But the question arose, will my mother support this amount of memory if I make it two 8 GB dice? The manufacturer's website says nothing about this.
I bought my mother years ago.
Model: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3

From my experience, I will say that the point is not the maximum possible volume of one bar, but the maximum volume with which the board's chipset is able to work. Those do not raise the same question whether 1 bar for 16GB will work. If in doubt - take 4 * 4 get 16, the cost is the same as 2 * 8. Based again on experience, I see no reason why 2 * 8 will not work.

Well, the official list does not know anything about 8GB modules. www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3243#memory%20support%20list So if you are not in a hurry, you can ask Gigabyte support a question. Well, or at least take memory with a moneyback to try.

memory support list - this is the memory that in the motherboard will definitely work with a frequency of 1666.
The rest - with a lower one. Or with the same. If we get lucky. But any memory will work anyway - it's not an apple, though.
