The key to Win2008 from Dreamspark does not fit

Hello!

I registered in the Dreamspark program and, for joy, downloaded Windows server 2008 r2, the key to which did not fit either the standard or the interprise. Then I decided to try just Win2008 server, but the key that was given to it also did not fit either the standard or the interprise. What is there that they write that the key does not fit this edition, how to find out which edition this key fits? Perhaps someone has already been able to install and knows for sure? I ask for help, otherwise I already got tired of reinstalling it every time.

You need to download the image directly from the DreamSpark website.

Try to check with this utility (when checking, it thinks for a long time)

Download exactly what you need from the DreamSpark website and check the checksums (SHA1) with such a utility. In this case, there shouldn't be any problems.

I had a similar situation. The image downloaded from Spark at startup asked which version of Windows to install, and without thinking twice, I chose the first option from the list - W2008R2 Standard. When he refused to accept the Sparkovsky key, he looked more closely at what was written on the site and found that the key was from the Web Edition. I reinstalled Windows, selecting the desired Edition first, and it activated seamlessly.
