The homemade bootloader does not transfer control to the kernel. What to do?
Good afternoon, dear IT community.
Wandering around the Internet, I came across a newsletter about writing a homemade operating system.
Did everything to the point. After compilation, linking, launch, I see a picture. The bootloader loads (a tautological tautology) the kernel, but does not transfer control to it. I think the configuration file is not loaded. Kindly help with advice. Thanks in advance.
PS The mailing itself, the kernel and bootloader code and other things. subscribe.ru/archive/comp.soft.myosdev/201207/1619...
UPD: The system goes into reboot. This function is provided if we stumbled upon the end of the configuration. The problem is that with the right cfg we should not get there. Either the parsing is not working, or the file itself is not correct.
UPD2: I think I'm close to a clue. The kernel does not start, because after the first cfg command the system goes into reboot. The second he does not see in principle.
