The crack of a new motherboard
Mother Asus P8Z68 Deluxe, bought about a week ago, under load (Mafia II) it makes a crack like from an extremely worthless clogged cooler, living out its last days. I started reading about chokes, but as I understand it, the sound should be high-frequency, immediately the sound is more like a cardboard ratchet that children attach to the bikes.
Exiting to desktop partially reduces the crackle to about 2 clicks per second. There is no crackling without load.
And yes, it is the motherboard that makes noise.
Sobsna question - maybe someone knows ways to play around with voltage, other bios settings, energy saving settings? In a couple of days I'll try to go to change the mother under warranty, maybe even to another vendor

. The most sensible decision.
How did you determine which is the mother?
You yourself understand that there is nothing to crack there.
Is that nifigovaya such a spark could give such a sound. But bullshit...
If the noise is loud enough, then it should vibrate. Try to touch different elements of the board during the effect and determine where the vibration is the strongest. It can be done with a glove, or without it.
I myself bought two such motherboards, there were no such symptoms. As far as I know, Asus has an international guarantee and Agreements with service centers in cities, maybe it’s worth bringing it there, showing it, because in the store where they took it, they may not accept it under warranty, having drawn up on “it works.”
