The computer won't boot, the bios beeps... what corresponds to the code 3 long - 9 long?
When you press the computer button, the cooler turns on, the disks begin to make noise. Then the buzzer starts: 3 long beeps, then 9 long beeps, and so on cyclically. I don't know what bios is on it. VGA display not receiving signal, no sign of image/loading, monitor stupidly goes to sleep. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2C with dual BIOS. Please help find the cause of the problem!

For some reason, I don’t have a beeper on my computer, so I don’t know how many signals there were and which ones, but the symptoms coincide with my recent problem, my contacts in the RAM slot closed and the computer also went into sleep mode, and the monitors didn’t react either. Try lifting the bars, it might help. I fixed it with a bios reboot by removing the battery.
Specs of your board:
BIOS Beep sound Description
1 short beep System normal
2 short beep CMOS Error
1 long beep and 1 short beep Memory error
1 long beep and 2 short beep Graphic card error
1 long beep and 3 short beep AGP error
1 long beep and 9 short beep Memory Error
Continuous long beep Memory not correctly installed
Continuous short beep Power supply unit failed
If without RAM it gives not 3 long ones, then you need to look at either the memory controller or the data bus.
1. Check the strips on a known good computer, one by one with memtest
2. Carefully inspect the RAM and processor slots for sour / bent legs.
3. Throw in a known good processor.
