The choice of an inexpensive processor, eternally AMD vs. Intel?
Good afternoon.
I choose a budget assembly that would pull modern toys and be relevant for at least another 2 years. However, due to limited financial resources, I cannot decide on an AMD FX-6300 or Intel Core i3-4160 processor. It seems that according to tests, AMD's performance is better, as are the characteristics, but in practice it turns out that the Core i3 can be quite a worthy competitor. So what do you recommend?

I will advise i5 (not mobile). And about i3... don't be fooled, 2 cores for games are not enough. From AMD, I can advise fx 8320 with subsequent overclocking. About the fx 6300, I can say that its ceiling is cards of the gtx 760 or R 9 270 (x) level - further bottlenecking, and with such cards there can be no question of the spirit of years (unless, of course, you are going to play at minimum-medium settings )
Take a used i5 if your budget is tight.
I apal computer and temporarily took g2020, the money will be - I'll take i5, the socket is the same
Both processors are not suitable for both parameters and new toys do not pull, and two by no means can be called relevant.
