The cat is the enemy of the laptop. What to do?

The cat got into the habit of spreading his carcass on the laptop keyboard during my absence for it. Closing the laptop does not solve the problem, because at this moment something often happens on the laptop, be it a torrent of distribution and uploading sites to the server, and it just won’t get into my habit of closing the laptop leaving it for a couple of minutes. Fortunately, in Windows, the keyboard lock works in such cases of massive pressure on the buttons, but is it possible to put additional. an alarm to startle the cat, or at least give me an audible alarm?

The cat is not such an enemy. He just loves a warm laptop. I have the same nonsense. He cured by distributing a magic pendel. 3 iterations weaned :-) Almost weaned.

There is another option - to reconcile.
They choose their own places.
We have a TV set and laptops distributed between cats :) Sometimes it happens like this on a TV set:

Since the cat loves warm, buy him a small electric blanket:

But I warn you, if you keep it on all the time, the cat will not get off it))

He probably likes it because it's warm. Buy an old pentium laptop hotter, plug it into a socket, heat it up with some kind of burn test - let the cat warm itself to health. Why scare the animal?

And if you set it so that nothing happens when you close the lid? Does he also like to lie on the lid?)

For the keyboard, so that the wool does not get stuffed, you can use something like a silicone lining:

They are sold on ebay, they help very well with wool, and they wash.

And if you bring 220 under the keyboard and turn on the power when you leave? ;)
But seriously, as far as I know, there are special sprays that repel cats and dogs. I don’t remember the name because there has been no living creatures at home for a long time.

You accidentally spilled valerian on the laptop? :)

Try to put orange peels, well, or just a little orange drip on the laptop. Mine, at least, do not tolerate this smell.
It's better to just put the laptop higher on the table.

Unfortunately, I can't tell. But on ebay they cost a penny (3-5 $). By the way, I have the same screen with a matte sticker ($ 6), it really adds a little graininess due to its texture.

My friends’ cat slept on a tall closet and they couldn’t get him out of there, I don’t remember why they didn’t like it so much that he slept there, but they decided to wean him and scattered black pepper all over the closet. Cats sniffing peppers start sneezing wildly, then they remember and don't go there anymore.
Maybe you should try something like that?

Try citrus juice. It seems that the means of scaring away kote just consist of them - well, they can’t stand this smell. Just buy an orange or a lemon and lubricate the laptop with a little juice ... And you will have a pleasant zapakh, and you can drive the cat away ... You can wean you from sleeping like that. But from playing with wires with a paw - alas and ah - too far - it won’t bite, but pulling the ropes is a must have for my cat, nothing helps ...

Buy a big subwoofer, or better yet, a UPS (or this one: www.ixbt.com/power/ups/photos/ippon/smart_winner/ippon_smart_1500_overview.gif ). And the power supply is good, and the cat is warm :)

They wrote correctly above, wean with pendels, but not simple, but magical. It’s not worth hitting a cat, but it’s necessary to give a shelban on the nose, it doesn’t seem to hurt him, but it’s unpleasant, in the end he will understand that he shouldn’t climb where he doesn’t need to, he will get a shelban. If they are not punished, then they roam well =) You need to show the cat who is the boss in the house. I spoiled mine and now I regret it =)

I saw something similar in some online store for geeks www.magicmag.net/catalog/145.html in the form of a worm toy that sees movement at a distance of 20 cm and emits a sound signal.

I remembered that in McDucks just now R2D2 could be caught with a motion detector. The brother got so rich, he was happy :)
And there are also sets of "Spy things" or something like that, there are a lot of all kinds of "alarms" and "traps", for example, there are "rocket launchers" launched from motion sensors, radio communication. The child had such a set , for your purposes it could well be suitable - put a couple of rocket launchers and sensors and fire at the cat when it enters the affected area. It is unlikely that it will be possible to damage the cat, but it is quite possible to scare a couple of times. Only the prices for them in toy stores are not adequate, it is worth looking for analogues from the Chinese.

Cats do not like the smell of citrus, I once had cats sitting on a motorcycle, everything would be fine, but they began to scratch the lining on the seat. The store advised a spray with some kind of citrus essence, it seemed to help.
