The best version of Windows 10?

For a year now, I have a dilemma:

  1. Use Windows 10 Insider Preview Dev Chanel and get the latest and greatest features, but still have problems with the printer (HP LaserJet 1100 (MS)) and scanner.
  2. Use Windows 10 Entherprice LTSB/LTSC, have a stable printer and scanner experience, but be a dinosaur and have the original Windows 10 that you could upgrade to from Windows 7.

Now we are actively choosing a new MFP and the need for LTSB / LTSC (especially in Windows 8.1) has disappeared.

Which version of Windows should I choose and install so that everything works and I don’t have to reinstall Windows often?!

It's up to you.
  • If you want stability - choose LTSC
  • Do not want stability - choose the usual stable version.
  • If you want to catch glitches in raw versions, install Insider Preview

And what you need - no one except you knows.

Latest version with all updates.

Insider is not needed for sure. LTSC is fine. It is strange why the option with Home \ Pro is not considered - this is something in between and this is absolutely enough for the average user. I’m already silent that it’s no longer necessary to reinstall the system regularly for a long time, unless you purposefully kill the system with all sorts of tweakers, registry cleaners and other nonsense.

Here the myths wandering around LTSC are painted in detail.
In fact - if there is no AD and other corporate goodies, the Home version is enough. If you need something that is not in Home - then the Pro version. Wikipedia details the difference between editions . In terms of stability, all editions of Windows (meaning releases) are the same, since they have the same kernel. From Wikipedia, by the way, the differences between LTSC and Pro in terms of functionality are also visible - the presence of AppLocker, DirectAccess and a couple more specific functions.

C LTSC didn't work, and ltsb is definitely buggy shit.
90% of systems with this version I have died from blue screens. This was not observed in the usual ten.
