The beginning of the way. How to get an internship?
Good afternoon.
Given:
- I've been having fun with Java SE for more than half a year, now I'm finishing learning the basics of SQL, Hibernate and Spring - there is a catastrophic lack of practical experience, I try to disassemble the theory piece by piece;
- I do not have a specialized IT education
- I have 2 towers - economics and construction
- good work experience in engineering positions of various kinds, as well as in project management
- I am less than 30 years old
I want to:
- get a job as a Java developer or an internship in this area, ready work without pay as part of an internship 1-2-...3? month.
Question: how and where to look for a suitable employer , as well as how to increase your chances of being selected ?
I have already checked simple responses to XX - there are few vacancies, there are many applicants - the last time there were 300 applicants for 2 junior positions with me ...
I would very much like to get a transparent answer without vague wording "do something and go aimlessly" )

You just need to be the best, which in itself is not easy.

practical experience is sorely lacking
A lot depends on the location - usually the more potential employers, the easier it is to find an internship / first job, and the most employers are in large cities (Moscow, St. Petersburg, etc. in descending order).
Well nichrome will not. Think about it, it would be possible to get a job in a real profession with so many skills? A little bit I know how to build houses, I learned to design.
Your only option if you really want to change everything drastically - scatter your resume in tons, change it, but in the end there will be those who will invite.
