Terminal hangs with SSH in macOS?
In macos 10.12.6, a standard terminal tab is open, in it ssh to a remote server. Over time, there is a break in communication or something, in general, the terminal does not respond to input on any key combinations. "Hard reset" doesn't help either. You can only close a tab with Cmd+W and open a new one, which is stupid. Is it possible to return to the local console at least inexpensively? (It would be better, of course, to do it automatically.)
