How to block a range of IP addresses in macOS?

Greetings.
I need to block a range of IP addresses in macOS, but I don’t understand how to do this in the hosts file. I can block a separate IP address, but how to enter the range is a question!

You can use socketfilterfw or some Little Snitch.
