I would recommend WebStorm . As for ftp, I'm not sure, I use it from time to time, but only to them.
Notepad++ is a great editor!
Uploading to FTP via Filezill
Autocomplete - for lazy people
Released for free
PY.SY. That's right "Dreamweaver" - if you don't mind the money, take it. Excellent thing. But I prefer what I wrote.
Komodo Edit is free, it seems to be able to do all of the above, including working with ftp out of the box.
For some reason, everyone forgot about PsPad . Excellent editor and, moreover, free. Knows everything you need.
The only negative is that it is rarely updated.
Alternatively, Eclipse . It is somewhat cumbersome (written in java), but free, cross-platform and has a bunch of goodies.
Try RJ TextEdit.
RJ TextEdit is a free code editor similar to Notepad++, but with a number of development-oriented web project features: validation, the ability to view the project interactively, a built-in ftp client, and much more.
notepad++. I switched to it from Dreamweaver, I have been using it for more than a year. You can download the necessary plugins, support for editing via FTP, you can write plugins yourself.
Sublime Text 1 and 2. $60 for both ( second in alpha and cross-platform).
Instead of an outdated list of dependent files, there is a universal Goto Anything with fuzzy matching, function recognition and navigation in the same place. All settings are in json format, syntaxes, macros, textmate snippets are supported, there is zen-coding (only in v1 so far), plugins, and Python API with command line.
Ftp - plugins, integrates with winscp (did not check it myself).
WeBuilder is by the way very good and costs only $50.
I myself have been using it (more precisely, first on RapidPHP by the same author, and then on WeBuilder) for a long time - it suits everyone - fast and multifunctional.
A question for Dreamweaver connoisseurs how to get a list of objects (functions) in javascript code, I apologize for interfering with someone else's question.
Top Style Pro. ONLY! www.topstyle4.com/
I've been
sitting on it for probably the fourth year. For me, this program is ideal, everything is as it should be. There are projects, CSS profiles, highlighting, autocomplete, etc… Very lightweight. He works out his 80 USD completely.
Notepad++ was mentioned here - for layout designers this is a mockery compared to TSP
The creator, as far as I remember, is the same who wrote the Home Site
Have you tried Microsoft Expression by the way ? The price is $ 150 (a tutelka in a tutelka in the upper range), all the more you can try to fool around with the WebsiteSpark program, which received new conditions not so long ago . There, Visual Studio, Windows Server, etc. also go in the appendage.
It all depends on the level of the writer. If everything is very bad ... then you can not care about the price. Torrent and something like MSFrontPage to help you.
I personally prefer Notepad++. Because I know the syntax, and jumping out tinsel makes me nervous.
In addition, it is frequently updated and has many useful "plugins". I even somehow set up the assembly and compilation of the C # project on the click of a button on it.
Eclipse/NetBeans in my opinion OverKill in cases with HTML and CSS. Except Javascript.
For extreme people there is Vim. True, those who figured it out say that it can not be better.
