Technical support Engineer L2, what are the responsibilities and nature of the work?

They offered a vacancy, Technical support Engineer Level 2, they said that they needed a SQL database and basic java. Could you explain to me what this vacancy means, and preferably in simple words, since I have never had anything to do with support. I position myself as a Java dev (Spring full stack, Java EE). Will this work be useful as a developer and is there an opportunity to grow to a developer in the future?
