Take down a news site?

The task was to make a news website. I have no experience in this, so I'm looking for ready-made engines. I would like to hear your opinions, what engines are there, what are their pros and cons. I already sort of picked some, but I won’t write, I’ll just compare the choices later :)

Start by building a list of engine requirements. But basically, any popular CMS can work for you. Take a look at WordPress - minimal body movement for a news site, but very resource hungry. Gluttony is treated by caching. There are also all sorts of Joomla, Drupal and others.
