Tabs in chromium are separated instead of being moved, what should I do?

When dragging tabs (by pressing LMB), they are separated from the main window and create a new one that does not merge with the main one in any way. Also, if you drag and drop to open bookmarks or links, they do not open (but open through RMB-> open in a new tab). This started to happen suddenly and possibly due to the ubuntu update (20.04). How can this be fixed?

This is a bug. As I understand it, so far the only option is suffering.

The best solution might be to roll back to version 96 and wait for a fresh patch.

After a while the bug just disappeared. Apparently, you really just had to wait.
