Tablet for learning foreign language: usage scenarios, choice of OS?
I choose a tablet for learning English. The goal is to pass a certificate, so it's not idly, but for reading, listening. I'm estimating a general scenario like this: the screen is divided into 2 halves: the book in the original - the book in translation. For example, yes. Splitting the screen is possible with win-tablets, not counting samsungs - for other android tablets, this seems to be impossible, like for iOS.
But I have never encountered such a task (learning a language), so there is a suspicion that I overdid it with the use case and the possibility of splitting the screen is not at all necessary. What kind of experience in the study would you recommend?

It makes no sense to divide into 2 parts, just read in foreign language. when you find a stranger, you poke your finger and start the translation without leaving the book. As for how to implement it, I won’t tell you (I saw somewhere a description of how to make it on android, but I don’t remember where ^_^)
PS I read it in a browser on a PC and / or laptop
I have a note 8 (samsung) tablet, it has the ability to open 2 applications, but only if they are different, i.e. you will need 2 different readers, moreover, those that have such a function.
I used this in order to rewrite the text I needed, and it was extremely inconvenient, since the screen is quite small, and I had to constantly increase either one application in order to read it normally, then the second, so that it would be more convenient to write.
If you take a tablet for such purposes, then only with a large screen, where the diagonal is 10, and preferably 12.
Otherwise, I would prefer to buy the books themselves, if possible.
On the iPad, you can split the screen using a tweak, maybe there is some kind of crutch on the android too.
