System update via Wi-Fi only

How to enable system update only via Wi-Fi in Android version 4.1.1 and is it even possible? Previously, there seemed to be such an opportunity, but after the update I just can’t find it, or did I mess up something?

I solved the problem by installing a traffic control program with the ability to set a limit. Although I think that the mode of receiving OTA updates only via Wi-Fi in pure Android would still not be superfluous ...

You worded the question a little wrong, specifying only the version, but not specifying the device itself. For example, in SGNII on 4.1.1, everything is fine with this:

So, it depends not only on the version of Android, but also on the firmware.

Apparently, we are talking about OTA updates. They arrive both on 3G / 2G and on WiFi. Turn off mobile internet and turn on WiFi.

In the settings of my former corporate sdma bucket, I remember there was a setting that prohibited OTA updates if the connection was not via Wifi, and even, in my opinion, indicating SSIDs, when connected to which you can update. Behind the prescription of years, I remember that it was a Samsung on 2.x

I have a Galaxy Nexus, so I only asked about the version. In the previous one, there were also such settings, but now they are not there, or maybe they are somewhere else.
