How to remove second gmail account from Gmail app on Android 8.0?

I registered a second account in the Gmail program, and it turned out that there was no way to delete the account there. You can, as they say everywhere on the Internet, disable account synchronization (via Settings - Users - Google - Delete), the account is unlinked from the phone but remains in Gmail (although it warns that synchronization is disabled). But I want the opposite (what was done on my other device, so that the account is linked to the phone and deleted from the program (because I use another application for mail and the double notification of incoming mail is wildly annoying).
