Switching to ubuntu, what problems will I encounter?
Hi all.
I am writing here because the ubuntuvod forum is extremely aggressive.
In general, I was going to dump from Windows to ubuntu (no other distributions inspired me to love them), I’m decently familiar with ubuntu, the server is on ubuntu server 12.04, but the server differs from the computer in config, and in tasks
In general, the tasks required from the computer:
Well Of course, torrents and Internet surfing - this will not be a problem.
Local file dump, there will be a shared folder on the computer for local users (Windows and Androids) - I heard there is a special samba server program, where everything is easily and simply shared and you can see the folder both from under Windows and through the android file manager.
Watching 3d movies - everything was just impossible on Windows, 3d-tv was connected via hdmi to a computer, a horizontal anomorphic movie was launched on KMPlayer and the TV set everything up by itself, that is, the need to configure the 3d display disappeared by itself. how to replace on ubuntu?
Watching movies through LAN, again everything is easier nowhere on Windows - the TV was connected via wifi to the local network, on the computer we select the desired file, right-click "play to" => "TV name" and the film went to play on TV, how can I replace it under ubuntu? samsung smart tv
The rest of the software I use is great in ubuntu.
I also heard compatibility problems with video cards from Radeon, I have a gigabyte 7850oc, will there be troubles with it?
I have a suspicion that the mouse will not like the operating system, aresze v720, on the forum I saw a topic about the same mouse, only 730.

On tv - install a DLNA server and don't do nonsense. The TV must be controlled from the TV, not from the computer. The easiest way is minidlna.
With AMD cards - no matter how much I have not encountered them - there have always been problems. But people somehow live ...
And what can a mouse not like?
