Switching layout in Ubuntu

Almost switched to Ubuntu. On Windows I'm used to switching between English, Russian and Ukrainian using Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2 and Ctrl+3 respectively. The convenience is that I do not think about what layout is now, but simply switch to the desired one.
How to do this in Ubuntu/Mint?

in the KDE settings manager, you could do the same without getting into the console,
try to go through the gnome settings very carefully - keyboards, regional settings

For ubuntu 17.04 on Unity, I have this recipe:
In the standard place to create keyboard shortcuts ( System Settings - Keyboard - Keyboard Shortcuts ) create additional entries
Commands
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.input-sources current 0 //English
gsettings set org. gnome.desktop.input-sources current 1 //English
Available layouts can be viewed using the dconf-editor utility ( sudo apt-get install dconf-editor )
Under org/gnome/desktop/input-sources
