How to set up a scanner for Linux in the office?

Hi guys. My relatives opened a small office, installed the latest Xubuntu on all computers and bought a Canon mf212w . But I myself am in another city, and I don’t really understand it, and my relatives are not at all in the subject, so the master set everything up.
The printer somehow configured (although it takes a very long time to start printing) to work through Wi-Fi, but with a scanner - nothing. The master says that he simply does not have firewood for Linux. It is not even critical that the scanner be on the network - you can connect it via usb to one computer.
We even looked for a scanner with the ability to scan to a USB flash drive, but they say that they are no longer on sale.
Tell me, is it possible to somehow configure this scanner so that it scans at least one computer? Maybe there is some model that works better under Linux (up to ~200$, you can change). Or have we missed some model with the ability to scan to a flash drive, or email, or the cloud, or a carrier pigeon?
Tell me how you can make it so that there is a good network printer, copier and scanner for at least one machine, and all this without Windows in the office.

@TheShock

Larger HP MFPs have Web-based scanning in a browser.
The Kyocera MFP has a scan to a network folder (SMB) or directly to e-mail.
Drivers are not required at all.

You had to think about drivers for Linux before buying a scanner. Kenon is far from having the best situation with this. :)
