Switching from Windows 7 to Windows 10?
Through third parties, I was approached with a request to build a computer for distance learning and additional classes.
One family has a PC. On it, Windows 7 is clogged with garbage and needs cleaning + updating to Windows 10. However, they did NOT disable updates in Windows 7, but did a check once a month. And they got an update that removes the promotional offer to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 for free.
They have a relative - a disabled person of the second group. How can they upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 for free? In which utility to enter data on disability?

it's idiotic to advise breaking the system when there is a license key.
you need to download the Microsoft windows creation tool and run the installation of dozens. the key is picked up automatically.

I just downloaded window update assistant and updated to 10. The old key was picked up and I didn't have to look for a new one.

Install a pirated win10 or just don't activate it, it will work anyway
Please download the original Windows 10, update. And find the key on the Internet or activate the Kms activator, but do not suffer.
I don’t know if synchronization by account is how Windows 10 saves the key on the account, but I know for sure that through the Windows 10 installer you can update the current version

If there is a sticker from Win7 or a key in the BIOS, then everything is simple. Install a clean Win10, preferably with a replacement disk for ssd, exactly the same version and enter the key from the sticker or it will pick up from the BIOS. But it is obligatory to match home-home, professional-professional, etc.
By the way, it doesn't matter which distro you install from, even from a pirate, but preferably from an official or minimally modified one.
Yes, and as an option , Jinglebens is also quite a worker. There you can not bother with the search for a distribution. Windows itself downloads what you need.
