SugarSync became paid?

Recently I went to the SugarSync website and found that now all tariffs are paid , with a 30-day trial, including for personal use. I have been using SugarSync for a long time, they don’t seem to require money. Now version 1.9.96, but 2.0 has recently been released, if I'm not mistaken. My question is, is this true or am I missing something? If true, what will happen to the old accounts?

5Gb free accounts remain and are available for registration.

This is a classic marketing move: get people hooked on your product, let them use it and get used to it, and then ask for money for it. So no wonder :)

Strange policy. I now use up to 5Gb, and would be happy to pay 200-300 rubles a year for such a volume. But 60Gb for 2500 rubles, I don’t need it, they offer to switch to just such a tariff. Even a 75% discount, when paying for the first year, does not motivate in any way.

I've been using SugarSync for more than a year (free 5Gb version, which I upgraded with the help of referrals up to 24.5 gigs).
Recently, the following soap came:
"We wanted to let you know that beginning on February 8th, 2014 we will transition to a paid service. In order to continue using SugarSync you will need to upgrade your account.", which means that from 8 February 2014, they are moving to a fully paid basis and offer me to choose one of the paid plans.

Well, here is the "last Chinese warning" - they promise to delete the account and all files on April 14, 2014.
