Strange strokes in Illustrator CC 2018. What to do?

The problem with rounding the corners of the stroke: when I click on the Stroke, and choose rounded edges, this bifurcation appears in the corners of the drawn frame. Resetting settings didn't help. Why did this happen to my tool and how can I fix it?
