Stacking WiFi Points

Hello. There are two linksys wrt160NL access points. It is necessary to blind a wifi network from them, the clients in which will be distributed between access points, depending on the quality of the signal to each of them. At the same time, when the client physically moves, you need to transfer him to the nearest point.

Now the points are stitched in dd-wrt. I configured WDS there, but it did not work (which is expected).

Is it possible, in principle, to implement the described?

I hate WDS with all my heart, how many I tried to set up on various routers - nothing happened. WDS, burn in hell

Give the points the same SSID.
I use this method at home and at work.

What exactly did not work on WDS can be clarified.
I did this on wrt54 (can't remember the letters now), with 3 devices, on dd-wrt, everything works to this day without problems.

Everything has grown together with WDS for codefests: habrahabr.ru/blogs/sysadm/116111/
