How to make sure the devices are on the same network and do Screen Mirroring on iPad?
Hello. Faced the following problem.
There is an AirServer program for screen casting from iPad Pro to PC. When earlier these devices were in another apartment, on a different network, everything worked, but here it doesn’t.
The PC is connected via an Ethernet cable, the iPad is connected via Wi-Fi (2.4\5GHz).
It seems that in the settings of the router I saw that in the LAN tab there is a MAC address and a PC and an iPad, but I heard that there are some other groups on the network, and if the devices are not on the same network, then you need to change something so that you can was to connect.
The problem is that the iPad sees the PC in the screen sharing menu, but when I try to connect, I get the error "Cannot connect to %pc_name%"
How can you make sure that the devices are in the same group (and what are these groups in general?) And the same network? What else can I try to change in the network settings so that I can connect?
In networks, I really don’t understand much, so I can’t even adequately google it. I wrote in support of the program, but the problem also applies to Reflector and other programs ..

As an assumption: perhaps the router has a guest WiFi network, to which the iPad connected? In this case, the firewall will work.
Try to find out - What IP addresses are allocated to devices and try to ping them mutually.
make these devices receive addresses from the same subnet or route between wired and wireless segments.
