Speed up mouse on slow motion (Linux mouse acceleration)?

Changed A4Tech X750BF mouse, which I worked with at 1000DPI, to an HP X4500 wireless mouse with 1600DPI.
With a higher cursor speed on normal scrolling, I got used to it right away. The problem is different.
I think everyone noticed that the distance traveled by the mouse on the table does not mean the passage of a certain distance by the cursor. Those if you pull the mouse slowly, then for 10 cm of the table it will pass 10 cm of the screen, and if you pull it sharply by 2 cm, then the cursor can fly all 30 cm.
So, the other side of the coin is that at a low speed of moving the mouse, the cursor is too slow. That is, by hovering the mouse over some small button and slightly missing, I slowly move the cursor to this small button and getting to it is not as easy as before.
Can you tell me how to lower this coefficient of dependence of the mouse speed on the cursor speed? So that when moving fast, the mouse goes a little slower, and when moving slowly, a little faster.
OS Linux Mint with "chinamon". In the mouse settings section there are sliders for speed and acceleration. The acceleration slider has no effect.
Thanks in advance.

Try disabling acceleration altogether. In some Ubuntu, it was turned off by default, now I've been living without it for 7 years now.

Look for a program (s) that can freely edit the acceleration curve - under Linux I won’t suggest one, but I know for sure that there should be such. Under OS X, I successfully solved a similar problem.
