Speed up mouse but not speed up touchpad on WIndows?
Windows 8.1. If I accelerate the mouse through the control panel where the cursor speed is, then the touchpad becomes too fast - and vice versa. What are the solutions?
Maybe through the registry?

Option 1:
Buy a "hardware" accelerated gaming mouse. It's not that expensive.

It is best if the speed is adjusted with a special button on the mouse itself. So there is a guarantee that the touchpad will not be affected at all.
It is also possible to adjust the speed through special software that comes with the mouse, but here I'm not sure that absolutely any mouse will allow you to change its setting without affecting other system settings, and hence the touchpad settings.
Option 2:
Tweak the touchpad driver settings by installing the manufacturer's proprietary driver first. Let's say the Synaptics touchpads have a lot of settings. Perhaps among them there is also what you need.
