Sound disappears in Linux after + and - what to do?

Installed Linux. I decided to update through sudo apt upgrade, but after installing the update, the sound began to disappear .... More precisely, when I add or decrease it, it works ok at first, but after 3-4 clicks it just goes down and is completely cut down and only reboot helps. Alsamixer also does not help and reinstalling it (then the sound disappears altogether)

Please tell me what to do?

Problems solved through `Synaptic` by installing all the updates from there. The sound immediately returned to normal.
