Is it safe to work in Linux through virtualbox?

Let's say the system is infected, and I go out from under it in liberte, encrypting the OS in vb.
I met a similar question here www.lubuntu.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=374&start=20 , but nothing was solved there.

There are very few viruses that can affect virtual machines (especially linux guests).
But there will still be problems - a lot of Trojans intercept traffic, and traffic from the guest goes through the host.
So for reliability, you should add default route vpn (and don't forget to wrap dns through it).

it's dangerous if only the virus can interact with virtual machines, but it seems to me that if they exist, then this is exotic.
another way is to infect the guest axis with a file from the host via a shared folder. but if the host is windows and the guest is linux, then this won't work.

Pretty safe.
But only if you know what you're doing.
If this is an honest sandbox, then you can’t get out of it (in theory).
Is that only on the network, or through the balls.
