Partnership programs

Tell us, what are the solutions for organizing an affiliate program for the service? Open source engines? Paid engines? What technologies are used?

I imagine a user logging in with the URI &partner=xxx, the affiliate id is parsed and written to the session/cookie, when registering, the session/cookie is looked up to see if there is an ID, and so on.

I would like details about what is happening next, what models of affiliate programs exist, and so on.

Bonuses during registration, discounts, both one-time and permanent, tree-like affiliate programs (a share of the commissions of invitees) ...
It's hard to come up with ready-made solutions here, it's too tied to business, ... and it's stupid to separate it into a separate module - too simple code.

I collected something similar on Jelsoft products. Open source, proprietary license, paid.
There were few sparks, but it finishes quite simply to the desired level.
What I liked about them is very good user management and very good with templates and scripts in templates.
But to cut there, though simple, but quite a lot to do something different from a forum or blog.
