Software RAID system drive on Windows? Is it worth it?

Good day. Very close, I asked a question about raising RAID on, as it turned out, a problematic motherboard.
How to make RAID based on B460 HD3 v1.0?

And assuming that I won’t succeed in raising the RAID, I decided to look towards software RAID using Windows tools, otherwise it would be a shame to leave one Samsung EVO 970 per half terabyte just as a data storage, if there are much larger and much more appropriate disks for this. Therefore, if at least not hardware RAID, then at least software. On Linux systems, mdadm has proven itself well, and I don’t particularly know troubles with it, but I have never worked with similar solutions on Windows. Can anyone share experience? Is it worth the bother? Are there pitfalls? Or maybe the cons outweigh the pros?

The subjective experience of the community is interesting. Thank you very much in advance.

If a mirror is meant, then I do not advise doing so. By means of Windows the bootloader is not mirrored (sic!). You can mirror yourself, but these are crutches. If you do a raid for non-system disks, then it's a completely normal solution.
