Software Licensing?
Let's say I'm a developer. Wrote a program. Compiled to exe (in the same folder are the files for the program). I am not strong in licensing matters, I ask more experienced developers. I want to put the program on the Internet (without the source code), but retain the authorship.
How to do it?
Maybe you need to put the file License.txt or NOTICE.txt in the folder, with the text of the license?

When starting the program, show the license to the user, everyone does that.
You will have authorship in any case, even without a license. Just in case, paste your name somewhere. Another thing is that it is almost impossible to protect your rights to the code. It is much easier to protect the rights to sounds, images, videos, a little more difficult to protect plain text. And you can also get the rights to the name of the program, and promote your brand, which is actually appreciated.
License.txt is usually placed next to the source code in the public domain. It can be added to the text of the program. A matter of taste. But this is not your case.
