Software for inventory / design of local networks

We have a local network that I want to streamline and modernize.
Therefore, I want to do everything right and leave behind something that can then be shown to someone.
The network does not yet have VLANs, but I am now introducing them, so I want to be able to take into account VLANs in the program, equipment ports.

To account for our mat values, we used GLPI (free written in php).
There is also a paid one developed in St. Petersburg, a whole complex there and monitoring and accounting of equipment and schemes, etc., etc.

It is convenient to draw maps in Visio, for example.
A friend has almost the entire inventory in MS SCCM - all the pieces of iron, VLANs, network switches / routers, workstations, hypervisors, separately only boo. documentation.

if everything is serious habrahabr.ru/post/125034/
At first I used Excel, then I switched to a web interface with a search. (self-written)
And based on the experience of working at medium-sized enterprises, it is useless to keep records of ports :) it is better to do an inventory more often. Although this is due to the fact that I have a zoo in terms of equipment.

I had to use this product IPSWITCH WhatsUp Gold Monitoring software, at the same time it can scan the network and draw a map. Of course, it may not be quite suitable for design, but it can see all segments, VLANs, ports on which cars sit.

I had a chance to work at Alloy Software (4 years ago). That's what her products do. www.alloy-software.com

You can design in any vector editor. For example, one of the contractors was preparing room diagrams with cable routes in AutoCAD.
