"Soft from Habravchan" Is such a blog necessary?

I would like to publish a couple of my useful programs (I did it for myself, but I'm not ashamed to share it with others). The criteria for the blog are as follows:

1. The software is free and open source.
2. The author himself writes about his program (at the same time, let's see what people are doing).
3. The program / library has already been brought to the stage where it can be used (and it's not a shame to show it to others).

I tried to find a suitable blog - I did not find it (maybe I was looking badly?). If you create a new one, it is not very clear in which category. And is it necessary at all, maybe “Open Source” is enough?

What will be the ideas?

"I'm promoting" won't work?

Here, posts with programs are not published very often, the authors of which are Khabrovites. Therefore, it seems to me that it is not necessary to create such a blog, Open Source is suitable for these cases.

It seems to me that such a blog is not needed. The reason for the appearance of a software review on Habré should be something other than the presence of the author on the site. And if someone posts a review of their program, OpenSource blogs, Habraware or I'm PR are enough for this.

I think some people will not want to open their code.
I would limit myself to the condition:
1) The author wrote the program himself.
2) The program is free (as without it).
3) The author intends to correct errors and bring the program to good functionality / stability, etc. (otherwise, why PR and score on the program).
4) The program is better / more convenient than its free counterparts (if any).

Needed! In this blog, people will publish small tools that help solve some extremely important tasks for the authors. Such a bog.
In any case, I would be interested in reading such a blog.
And the programs there would sometimes come across really useful.

I wonder what kind of criterion is this "from Khabrovites"? How does a program written by a progger with and without an account differ from other programs?
Now, if “for Khabrovites”, then yes.

I agree with TARAKAN about the conditions, but there is a reason in the words rispen, because there are high chances that the blog will be a little less than completely empty.
If you still believe that the blog will be filled, then I think it makes sense. It will be nice to see what useful habrausers have done in the field of software, in one place. However, the question of criteria also arises here. Are web applications suitable? Are highly specialized scripts or plugins for improving third-party software suitable? Are shell scripts suitable? After all, all this falls under the definition of "software".

Khabrovchane write very little efficient software.
For at least some sensible there is "I'm PR." In other cases, they will not want to disgrace themselves.
So I would rate the idea as not very popular.

You can try to start such a blog in the format of "spanking software". Like "I'm the author of a super-program, I ask anyone who is interested to test it."

In general, if someone publishes an article-program right now, create it. And if not, then when there is time to publish the article, I will create it.
