Markdown, Dropbox and Hosting/Blogging platform for perfectionists?

UPD:

Moved to “Ideas for Startups”

I want to talk about an idea that I have been rooting for for some time and even took the trouble to write it down in some detail.

The purpose of this post is to find like-minded people and professionals who will help implement it. Well, or realize that there is little sense in it and do more productive things.

Description of the idea in English, because it is focused primarily on the Western market and, in addition, it is sometimes easier for me to express my thoughts in English. If I manage to transfer the post to Ideas for Startups, I will definitely translate it into Russian.

Anyone who loves Markdown and Dropbox, please follow the link

And how will this service differ from calepin.co , where you posted your project? In addition, there is also scriptogr.am .

What is convenient in markdown? Yesterday I wrote text in Google Docs, with pictures, tables and pieces of code, and I realized that it is extremely convenient to insert pictures by dragging and dropping (sorry, you can’t paste from the clipboard yet). I caught myself thinking that doing the same thing in HTML (despite the fact that I know it very well), Markdown or any other system is much more dreary and inconvenient than in vizivig.

You formulate the essence of the service as "A web service for creating and editing simple sites and blogs using Dropbox folders."
Don't specify an audience. I don't understand who needs this. Look at Apple - apparently they cover the further development of iWeb - and the product is excellent for its niche.
Well, I'm not a techie, so I ask you not to kick, but it seems to me that dropbox will be against it, because. storage load will increase.

No markdown, really.

Thought about something similar, only git instead of dropbox.

Why markdown? Can it be easier to take haml or slim? More possibilities, and simplicity is not lost.

Dropbox users in Russia sometimes face blocking access to public html files. For example: forums.dropbox.com/topic.php?id=17924
If you think wider than markdown, then you can win a mass audience with docx support. A smart parser will be able to deal with pictures and Excel price lists inserted directly into the document.
